As 5G and digital-first services reshape mobile connectivity, choosing a SIM-only plan is more than just about signal bars. It’s about value, flexibility, and performance—and in Singapore, Singtel and Circles.Life are two of the top contenders. Whether you're looking for powerful coverage with bundled extras or a data-heavy plan with global perks, this side-by-side comparison will show you which provider is future-ready for your mobile habits.
Key Differences of the SIM-Only Plan
Comparison of Data Allowance: Affordability vs. Unlimited Options
When it comes to data allocation, Circles.Life offers significantly more flexibility at a lower price point, while Singtel provides unlimited options at a premium. Circles.Life allows users to choose from 100GB to 1TB of data, making it an excellent option for casual users, heavy streamers, and gamers. In contrast, Singtel’s SIM-only plans start at 150GB and go up to unlimited data, but with pricing ranging from S$40 to S$80 per month, making it one of the more expensive choices in the market.
For users who need large data allocations but want to keep costs low, Circles.Life provides a better balance of affordability and high data limits. Meanwhile, for those who require truly unlimited data with no restrictions, Singtel’s higher-tier plans may be worth considering. However, Circles.Life stands out with unlimited data rollover, ensuring that unused data never goes to waste, which is a feature Singtel does not currently offer.
Comparison of Roaming: Built-In Benefits vs. Pay-As-You-Go
When it comes to international travel, Circles.Life offers more extensive built-in roaming benefits, whereas Singtel provides limited complimentary roaming with additional paid add-ons. Circles.Life includes 100GB of data that can be used across multiple countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, making it an excellent choice for users who travel frequently across Asia.
Singtel, on the other hand, only includes 1GB of free Asia roaming, which may not be sufficient for most travelers. Instead, users must purchase pay-as-you-go roaming packs, which can quickly add up in cost. For frequent travelers who need reliable, hassle-free roaming, Circles.Life’s generous included roaming allowance makes it the better option, while Singtel is better suited for those who travel occasionally and don’t mind paying extra for roaming as needed.
Comparison of Additional Perks: Entertainment vs. Practical Benefits
While both providers offer additional perks, Singtel focuses on entertainment and security, while Circles.Life prioritizes practical benefits like data flexibility and unlimited incoming calls. Singtel includes six months of Disney+ Premium and McAfee Mobile Security, catering to users who enjoy streaming content and enhanced cybersecurity. Additionally, Singtel offers caller ID and a S$5 monthly cashback for users who purchase a device using PayLater, making it a good option for those who want to bundle their mobile plan with a new phone.
Circles.Life, on the other hand, provides perks that enhance connectivity and user experience, such as unlimited incoming calls, unlimited data rollover, loyalty program, unlimited queries with CirclesAI powered by OpenAI’s latest models and superior roaming benefits. Instead of offering streaming services, Circles.Life focuses on ensuring users maximize their data usage without restrictions. For those who travel frequently or want greater control over their data without paying extra for unused services, Circles.Life is the better option. However, for users who value entertainment bundles and premium add-ons, Singtel may provide more appealing perks.
Final Verdict: Which SIM-Only Plan is Better?
Choosing between Circles.Life and Singtel comes down to what you prioritize in a mobile plan—whether it’s affordability and data flexibility or premium features and entertainment perks. Circles.Life is the better choice for budget-conscious users who need higher data limits at lower prices, with plans ranging from 100GB to 1TB. It also offers unlimited data rollover, superior built-in roaming benefits, unlimited queries with CirclesAI powered by OpenAI’s latest models, and unlimited incoming calls, making it an excellent option for frequent travelers, digital nomads, and users who want contract-free flexibility.
On the other hand, Singtel is ideal for users who prefer premium services and brand reliability. It offers strong 5G coverage, unlimited data options, and entertainment perks like Disney+ Premium and McAfee Mobile Security, making it a great choice for streamers, families, and professionals who value network consistency and security features. However, its higher prices and limited free roaming may be a drawback for those who prioritize affordable, travel-friendly options.
Ultimately, if you want a cost-effective, high-data plan with better roaming benefits, Circles.Life is the clear winner. But if you prioritize premium add-ons, unlimited data options, and brand trust, Singtel is a strong competitor. The best plan depends on your data usage, travel habits, and whether you value lifestyle perks over raw affordability.

FAQs
What makes Circles.Life different from Singtel?
Circles.Life differentiates itself from Singtel by offering lower-cost, high-data SIM-only plans with no contracts, making it a more flexible and budget-friendly choice. While Singtel provides premium services, strong network reliability, and entertainment bundles like Disney+ and McAfee Security, Circles.Life focuses on affordable, high-data plans with unlimited data rollover, better built-in roaming benefits, and free unlimited incoming calls. For users who value cost savings, large data allowances, and flexibility, Circles.Life stands out as a strong alternative to Singtel.
Which provider offers more data for the price?
Circles.Life offers data plans ranging from 100GB to 1TB, with pricing starting as low as S$9.90 per month and capping at S$30. In contrast, Singtel’s SIM-only plans start at 150GB and go up to unlimited data, but at a higher price range of S$40 to S$80 per month. If you're looking for more data at a lower cost, Circles.Life provides better value, while Singtel caters to users who prefer premium services and network consistency, even at a higher cost.
Which provider has better roaming options?
Circles.Life offers superior built-in roaming benefits, allowing 100GB of data to be used in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. This makes it a better option for frequent travelers who need large amounts of data abroad without additional roaming charges. Singtel, on the other hand, includes only 1GB of Asia roaming with its plans, meaning users must purchase additional roaming packs for extended international use. If you frequently travel within Asia, Circles.Life provides more convenience and cost savings, whereas Singtel may be better for occasional travelers who prefer pay-as-you-go roaming options.
Does Circles.Life offer unlimited data rollover like Singtel?
No, Singtel does not offer unlimited data rollover, whereas Circles.Life does. This means that with Circles.Life, unused data is carried over to the next month, allowing users to maximize their data usage without waste. For users who want to store and use leftover data at their own pace, Circles.Life has a clear advantage.
