Here are some things to keep in mind before transferring:

Transfer your phone number to Circles.Life

You’re tired of recontracting for the same old plan. You want the benefits of joining Singapore’s #1 most recommended telco. But you dread the thought of porting your phone number. It’s too much hassle, right?

Not anymore.  

Headaches over silly things like number transfers were the reason Circles.Life was founded in the first place. Like you, we want it to be easy – so easy that you can click a button or two and it’s all taken care of.

Transferring your phone number to Circles.Life is so painless that you could probably do it blindfolded. Yes, you read that right. How to port your mobile number online

After one too many attempts to assemble Ikea furniture without the instructions (#regret) we know the value of a humble step-by-step. Here’s one for porting your phone number

For SIM only plans

  1. Don’t terminate your existing number as of yet
  2. Start building your SIM only plan by selecting 20GB or 100GB. 
  3. Select Transfer Number as you go through the checkout. 
  4. Activate your SIM online once you get it in the post.
  5. That’s it! You don’t need to do anything else. We’ll transfer your phone number overnight! 

For combo phone plans 

  1. Choose the device you want on a combo phone plan.
  2. Check over the plan breakdown and select Choose Number. 
  3. Select Transfer Number and punch in your digits.
  4. Activate your SIM online once you get it in the post.
  5. You don’t need to terminate your previous line. Make a smoothie and chill, we’ll get the number transfer done overnight! 

We do the transfer overnight so you experience minimal to no service disruption. Before the number transfer happens, you’ll get a temporary number to use so you can access your data straight away. 

For Family Plans 

If you’re signing up on a Family Plan, don’t fret! As the primary account holder, just follow the usual steps above for a SIM only plan. Once your SIM has been activated, everyone else on the plan can simply log on through the Circles.Life app (using a temporary number) > Profile > Port Number to port their old mobile number over. We’ll take care of the rest!

Need to transfer your phone number to another phone

Transferring your phone number to another phone is easy. If you’re already a Circles.Life customer with a physical SIM card, simply switch it over to your new phone. For eSIMs, use this step-by-step when changing between phones. 

If you’re switching to Circles.Life and want a new phone with your older number, follow the steps above for combo phone plans and you’ll be right as rain. Same goes for SIM only deals. 

Things to check before your number transfer

We can’t wait for you to join the gang and start reaping the rewards (AKA loads of data) on your new plan. Here’s a quick checklist to make sure everything is in place to port your mobile number to Circles.Life:

  • Make sure your number is postpaid
    If your number is prepaid, ask your current telco to switch it to post-paid before you get started.

  • Check your contract status
    If you’re in a contract with another telco, wait until it’s finished or check if you’ll incur any fees by terminating early.

  • Don’t deactivate your old SIM
    It might seem weird, but number transfers only work for active numbers. So don’t ask your old telco to cancel it, because that will happen automatically when we do things on our end.

  • Check the name registered to the number
    Porting your phone number is still possible if it’s not under your name, but you’ll need to sign up first then go through the app. Head to our Help Center for more information. 

You don’t need to pay a cent to keep your old number – quite the opposite. Port your mobile number to us and get a $10 monthly bill waiver forever, so you’re actually saving by keeping your old digits.

To keep your current prepaid number, you’ll need to switch it to post-paid with your current provider before transferring your number to us. You can choose a new number instead, but you won’t get the $10 monthly bill waiver.

We can transfer your phone number if it’s still under contract, but you should check with your old provider as they may charge you the remaining monthly bills and/or an early termination fee. It’s best to switch to us when your contract ends, then you can stay contract-free forever!
