What is 5G?

Currently, 5G is available for all SIM-Only plans (excluding Family Plan). Don’t forget to check if your device is 5G-compatible here.

Of course. Please note that while your device may be 5G and eSIM compatible, it may not be compatible with our 5G Standalone (SA) network. Check out the full list of 5G eSIM-compatible devices here.

The 5G add-on is available at a special price of $7 per month for a limited period (Usual Price: $10 per month).

Upon subscribing to 5G, you will be charged the subscription fee immediately for the month in which you subscribe to the add-on. This charge will only be reflected in your subsequent month's bill along with the subscription fee for the subsequent month.

For example, if you subscribe to 5G on 10th Nov 2022, you will be charged a fee of $7 for Nov 2022 and this will be reflected in your Dec 2022 bill along with the subscription fee of $7 for Dec 2022 (unless you've decided to discontinue your subscription before 30th Nov 2022).

5G networks operate on up to three frequency bands:

1. Low Band (600 MHz)

With frequencies under 1 GHz, Low Band offers the widest coverage indoors and out, delivering speeds up to 20% faster than 4G.

2. Medium Band (2.5GHz)

Straddling frequencies between 1-10 GHz range, Medium Band delivers 2x-4x faster speeds than 4G, while maintaining decent coverage.

3. High Band (Millimeter wave)

Band offers the fastest speeds with frequencies above 24 GHz, but can be disrupted by obstacles like leaves and rain. Ideal for scenarios where speed is a priority within its limited coverage range.
