iPHONE FAQ
With 4 different models rumored at launch, the exact specifications of each 12 will certainly vary. It is largely agreed though that the 12 series will feature Apple’s new A14 chip set which boasts superior processing power than the A13 from the iPhone 11 series and iPhone SE (2020).
Each phone is said to also be 5G compatible (supporting both sub-6 and mmWave) and may even include more RAM in devices excluding the 12 Mini. In terms of cameras, the 12 and 12 Mini will come with a main camera and ultrawide camera on the back with the 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max adding on a telephoto camera and an additional new LiDAR depth sensor.
Apple is rumoured to have 4 different models at launch this year. Starting with the 12 Mini at a compact 5.4 inches, it is estimated to cost $649 for 64GB. The two variants of the 6.1 inch 12 (the 12 and 12 pro) should have prices that range from $699-$799 for the standard 12 and up to $999 for the 12 Pro. Apple’s premium flagship phone, the 12 Pro Max is estimated to cost around $1099 although an increase to $1199 is also highly possible due to the inclusion of 5G technology. Do note that rumours suggest that both the 12 Pro and Pro Max will start with a higher base capacity of 128GB instead of the usual 64GB; a change that might affect pricing.
Overall, this pricing structure is in line with its past launch for the iPhone 11 and provides a budget entry point to the series in the form of the 12 Mini which rivals similar phones such as the Google Pixel 5. Find out more.
