Singapore is turning 61, and this year’s theme, "Go Beyond!", is all about celebrating our collective resilience and looking toward a brighter future. With the National Day Parade (NDP) 2026 returning to the iconic National Stadium at Kallang, the atmosphere (and fireworks) is going to be absolutely electric. (Source: Visit Bayfront)

Whether you're looking to join in the festivities, feast your eyes on fireworks, or rub shoulders with patriotic Singaporeans, we've got you covered.

Celebration Hotspots: Where to Catch the Fireworks

    • Around the Kallang Basin (Closest to the Action)

      • Stadium Riverside Walk: Located right outside the National Stadium and Kallang Wave Mall, perfect to catch the “Go Beyond” light-up display as well.

      • Tanjong Rhu Promenade: Directly across the Kallang Basin, offering a perfect, framed view of both the National Stadium and the distant Marina Bay skyline.

      • Kallang Riverside Park & Kallang Lawn Bowl: Excellent, slightly more spacious alternatives located further inland

    • Around Marina Bay (Classic Skyline Views)

      • Marina Barrage Rooftop Lawn: A hot favorite, do show up earlier to secure a prime piece of grass.

      • Esplanade Waterfront Promenade & Merlion Park: These classic ground-level spots offer clear views with convenient MRT access.

      • Gardens by the Bay (East Garden & Open Lawns): You can easily combine fireworks watching with the Garden Rhapsody: Songs of Singapore light show happening at the Supertree Grove at 7:45 PM and 8:45 PM.

Don't miss out on other exciting attractions like the Formula 1 Exhibition, Borealis Northern Lights, and more! Check out the full guide by Visit Bayfront here.

Symbols of Singapore: What We Are Celebrating

As we wave our plastic flags, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the motifs that tell the story of our little red dot. Read on to find out some of the core symbols that represent our country:

    • The Lion Head Symbol: A distinctively local symbol that embodies courage, strength, and resilience in the face of challenges.

    • Vanda Miss Joaquim: Appointed as our national flower in 1981, this orchid was chosen specifically for its hardy and resilient nature—blooming year-round as a reflection of the Singapore spirit.

    • The Crescent Moon & Five Stars: Found on our national flag, the crescent moon represents a young nation on the rise, while the five stars signify the ideals of democracy, peace, progress, justice, and equality.
