How To Kickstart Your eGaming Career

eGaming is a fast-growing profession. There was once a time when online gaming, PC gaming, and mobile gaming were all just kids’ activities. Now, it has exploded into a multi-billion dollar industry, which says something.
At Circles Life, we have a range of plans available to meet the needs of different users. Someone who uses a lot of data may want to opt for 100GB a month, while other users may not need as much data and might be fine with 5GB.
So, if you’re looking to build a career in this field, there are certain things that you need to consider. Let’s have a look:
Figure Out Your Objective
There are different types of games available. Whether you want to join the Electronic Sports League (ESL) or mobile gaming, the first thing is determining your objective and the kind of profession you want:
- A full-time gamer dedicated to a specific type of game.
- An entertainer, available with multiple gameplays for fun.
Since we are talking about building a career in eGaming and joining mobile and ESL, we will not focus on the entertainment gamer. Let’s focus on the full-time gamer.
Expert View:
According to expert Philip Wride: Mobile games continue to grow their player audiences because the barrier to entry is lower - most people have a device they can use to play. Through that growth the esports structures that sit alongside the games are also growing. PUBG Mobile is a great example of a mobile game that has developed a solid esports structure but there are other mobile games like Free Fire that have a World Championship.
Determine the Expertise
The next step for you will be to determine your expertise. If you’re trying to build an eGaming Career, you might already have a game in mind. It is the one you have been playing and winning at. But still, to give you an idea, there are different types of games. You have racing, first-person shooter, MOBA, RPG, etc.
You need to determine the kind of games you’re good at. Once you decide on the Genre, you will have to find the popular title in that game. For instance, FPS (First Person Shooter) games include PUBG, Call Of Duty, Apex Legends, and Fortnite. A few of them are available for the mobile platform.
Invest In The Top-Gear
The next on the list is perhaps the most crucial aspect of an eGamer. There are many things for you to consider:
A top-notch device. Now that you’re going for Mobile Gaming, you need a gaming phone. At least 8 GB of RAM is crucial. 12 GB would be better, the latest processor, and so on.
You will also need high-speed internet to take care of the latency. There are things known as MS or pings in the game. The lower they are, the better. You could give Circle.life a look for premium and high-speed plans.

Eric Slemboski of Streamers Playbook recommends in my opinion, the best way to kick off your gaming career is by live streaming on Twitch and then uploading clips of your live stream to Youtube. That will allow you to build a community that can sustain you and support you in your endeavours.
Becoming a Streamer
You need to expand and dominate the Social Media Presence. This means making a specific Gaming Account on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitch TV, and other similar platforms. Next, you will have to dedicate an entire system to recording or streaming the content.
Chris Grayson, of https://www.streamscheme.com/ which helps up-and-coming streamers learn valuable skills reminds that the world of professional gaming is always changing. What's popular today might be out of fashion tomorrow, so stay flexible and be willing to pick up new games.
Practice Makes Perfect
On the other hand, don’t forget that making an eGaming career is all about practising. It is similar to being a sportsman in real life. You will have to continually practise and get better. It is a dedicated sport where you will have to practise more than others.
For example, you will have to learn new tactics and strategies. Watch some videos on these strategies. Then, you will have to incorporate these. Find your unique gameplay style, and don’t conform to others. See what works for you.
Remember, eGaming is a full-time profession, not some part-time hobby anymore. The world is highly competitive, and you need to get the edge.
Take The Bold Step
This is perhaps the most crucial part of all. You need to be bold and just begin:
Start streaming your gameplay. Don’t wait for the perfect match.
Start recording your games, and then use some editing tools to make them better and post them.
Share your strategies, and insights on the games, and gameplay, among other things.
Participate in the tournaments, local or eGaming ones.
Create a team or apply to become part of a different team. Every game has a dedicated clan and more.
The Bottom Line Is - Keep Going
Just keep going because there will be negative comments and people talking you down. That is something you can’t help. All you can do is decide what should impact you.
Remember that you will have to be dedicated. Once you participate in tournaments, keep streaming, sharing content, and then building authority, you could get sponsors. You can also approach different sponsors, too. Try to build authority for yourself.
It all comes down to posting regular content and keeping up to date. As long as you have cost-effect data plans and a high-grade smartphone, things should be easy enough for you.
